Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd. In Malaysia, Bosch is active in four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and soon a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors. In 2020, Bosch Malaysia generated consolidated sales of RM 518.4 million (108.1 million euros), and currently employs more than 4,000 associates.
PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job DescriptionDesigning, continuously developing, and improving the PgP5 business processes to ensure their sustainability, effectiveness, and efficiency, while maintaining strict alignment with the requirements of BBM. Additionally, lead and ensure the implementation of these business processes according to the procedures within the plant. Collaborate with stakeholders, including operations teams, IT, and external interest parties, to ensure effective process adoption.Establishing & implementing plantwide business processes’ risk & opportunities management.Develop a strong quality control and assurance process to uphold exceptional product standards. This involves creating mechanisms for quality control and assurance flow, efficient resource planning, and effective quality strategies for production.Enhancing business processes for seamless integration across functions and departments, while promoting alignment and engagement in process-related initiatives. This includes process mapping, identifying gaps and bottlenecks, continuously evaluating and recommending improvements for existing business process and procedures.Support audit methodology, determine the focus areas according to plant business priorities, developing the audit plan & mechanism and, ensuring compliance and corrective measures are implemented.Responsible as Plant Change Management Coordinator to record and bring changes to Plant Change Management board. Review proposed engineering changes to assess their impact on quality and compliance, assess the risk of changes, monitor the quality of the modified product or process, maintain the record of changes.Effectively managing and reaching business process management targets and project goals using the PDCA cycle approach and employing appropriate problem-solving tools to ensure systematic closure.Responsible as Plant Lessons Learned Coordinator to maintain the lesson learned process and ensure it’s implementation.Responsible as Plant Dokmanager Coordinator for access right control, process maintenances and improvements.Responsible as department Idm and Data Security Officer.Responsible as PgP5 Internal Auditor, including planning, execution, closing and effectiveness verification of audits focus on IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
