The Job:
As a Quality Engineering Supervisor, you will provide experienced quality support to product manufacturing, resolving defects and other issues and ensuring the product meets customer specifications.
You’ll get to:
Support the Plant Quality Manager regarding the execution of the Quality Strategy around the Mission, Vision & Strategic Initiatives related to the manufacturing process improvement within the plant.Leverage data analytics (SPC) to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.Facilitate the CAR/8D process to drive improvements in the plant and reduce non-conformances internally and with the customer to reduce COPQ and Scrap.Facilitate the RMA process between Customer service and returned productMaintain a log of current product in the MRB area and participate in weekly meeting with Quality and Engineering to disposition product on holdEnter internal and customer concerns and non-conforming product into ETQ to drive resolution of issuesReview SPC check requirements daily for first and third shifts and report to Ops manager on status by machineAssist with audit for ISO-9001 and IATF-16949 (may include Nuclear also)Provide monthly matrix data to Quality Manager for Corporate KPI reportsResponsible to generate PPAP documents and submit them to the customersWork on PQP projects and Pcx Level Improvements through the plantWork on Supplier Quality Concerns (SCAR’s) and Supplier PPAP’sThis role supports the Liberty Ct facility as wellOversee daily QA lab function work of 4 inspectors as needed to complete final inspections, material receiving and testing on product for customer from commercial, nuclear and military.Improve the manufacturing process capability by leveraging the DMAIC methodology and the Lean Six-Sigma Tools; center the processes and reduce variation (Cpk); deliver favorable impact on CoPQ (scrap).Responsible for effectiveness of measuring systems and gages; ensure they are accurate with a good repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R); Oversee Monthly calibration and deploy error proof systems/techniques .Foster predictive technologies capable to anticipate any process variation/deviation like SPC. Drive Continuous Improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen/Lean methods, First Pass Yield, DPMO, Scrap % metricsThe Person:

3 or more years of professional work experience with direct proven experience in the following areas:Required experience and skills include:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering (Mechanical & Materials Engineering).
5+ years of professional work experience with direct proven experience in the following areas:
Experience with Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, IATF-16949, Quality Assurance Processes and New Product Development approval process APQP/PPAP.Expertise in various Manufacturing Processes like Forging, Cold Forming, Machining, Heat Treatment, Coating, assembly …Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred with proven experience with DMAIC, GR&R, Cpk/Cmk, SPC, D/PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving 5Ys/8Ds; effective at performing data analysis using software like Excel, MiniTab, Lighthouse, Tulip…Project management skills demonstrated, solid analytical skills and attention to detail.Effective communication & presentation skills both written & oral; ability to manage multiple projects.Build & maintain good relationships with key stakeholders in the plant and at the SBU level (Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Compliance/Reliability, Sourcing, Finance); capability to work with cross-functional team in a global matrixed organization to achieve results.Organized and disciplined with logical approach to data management.Self-starter, able to self-motivate and complete tasks with limited supervision; autonomousThe Details:
