Quality Engineer III

Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer works with minimal supervision and uses originality, ingenuity and established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements. Must have knowledge and experience working with AS9145 and ISO.

Essential Functions:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers) to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.Monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points in the value stream to identify and address quality issues.Lead root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and drive qualification of product and process changes to maintain high-quality standards.Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing, while producing reports on nonconformance, quality trends, and root cause analyses.Review and approve quality-related document changes (ECOs, MCOs, deviations) and implement continuous improvement strategies using data-driven methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: AS9145/APQP knowledge/experience; 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing settingKnowledge: Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresSkills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals; Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointEducation/Certification: BA or BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Lean Principles and Implementation ToolsEducational background in Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability toolsFamiliarity with MinitabASQC Quality Engineer Certification

Salary range for QE III: $109,000 to $128,300. Salary Range for QE IV: $129,300 - $152,700 Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
