Metso USA Inc. is looking for a Quality Engineer III to boost the quality culture through cross-train with other departments, internal audits and develop projects for improvement. Position is based in York, Pennsylvania
Required: Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Technology and 5 years of experience in quality engineering in heavy equipment in the mining industry. In lieu of an Associate’s degree, Employer will also accept a high school diploma and 7 years of experience in quality engineering in heavy equipment in the mining industry. In addition, the following specific skills are required:
5 years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) with problem solving methodologies including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) 5 Years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) manufacturing castings, machining, welds, surface protection and packaging pursuant to international standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM and ISO). 5 Years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) reading and interpreting engineered drawings with geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T Principles), materials specifications, and Non-destructive testing standards and welding processes. 5 Years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) visual inspections of castings, dimensional inspections with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), weld inspection and paint inspection. 5 Years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) with supplier monitoring and development techniques. 3 Years of experience with Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, 2 of which as an internal auditor. 3 Years of experience with SAP Quality Module (QM) and Jaggaer portal. Requires travel up to 50%, both domestic and foreign to various unanticipated client sites. Ability to work remotely anywhere in the U.S. and report to the York, PA office
