Quality Engineer II- RAMP TO RATE

BAE systems puts our customers first exemplified by our missions: We Protect Those Who Protect Us BAE Systems Precision Strike (PS) business area is seeking a quality engineer to support the Munitions Acceleration Team (MAT) and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the MAT and THAAD Production Quality Leads ensuring BAE Systems expand manufacturing capabilities while ensuring Production builds compliant to deliver to our customers. Requirements flow down and compliance will play a significant part of everyday life. An understanding of production programs will benefit you in this role. Responsibilities in this role will include support to the buying, validating and verification of test equipment, long lead material, support the production build process, product acceptance and customer sell off, first article inspection, as well as additional quality support of production manufacturing. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical field and 0-2 years of experience + Ability to read, interpret and understand a drawing, print and specification + Communication in a clear, concise and professional manner with multiple customers in different organizations, functions and the US Government + Interpersonal communication is verbal and written formats + Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including word, excel, power point + Ability to learn BAE Systems hardware, software and data management programs + Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplined team + Ability to work independently with little to no oversight + Producing high quality work in a face paced, dynamic work environment **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience + Production Hardware and Software processing + Program process definition and documentation + Rework and Repair processing + Support to Production manufacturing + Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment + Preferred active secret clearance + Familiarity with the following: + First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 + Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell off" + Preparation of documentation packages for customer review + Configuration Control and Hardware Configuration Reporting + Participation Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
