Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer I works under immediate supervision and uses established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring products are consistent with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and CustomersCollect and analyze production data to evaluate product qualityConduct root cause analysis and recommends corrective actionsStop production if serious product defects are presentMonitor quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiencyInstruct others in quality control and analytical proceduresProduce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trendsReview statistical studies, regulatory standards and trends in the field of quality controlIdentify critical points in the Value Stream and specify sampling proceduresDrive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are acceptedSupport audits with Defense, Aerospace and Customer AuditorsProvide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as requiredReview and approve quality document changes - Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviationsAny other task assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 0-2 years of Quality Engineering experienceKnowledge: Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldSkills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Full color acuity; Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in order to meet company standards and deadlinesEducation/Certification: BA or BS degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related fieldEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ​FAA sensitive position – may be subject to a government security investigation to verify eligibility for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting

Salary range:  $80,600.00 - $97,600.00.

Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
