Take a peak inside Endicott:Life in Endicott | BAE Systems (https://jobs.baesystems.com/global/en/life-in-endicott) We are looking for a Quality Engineer to implement tools and processes to ensure our operations and processes improve on current products with robust plans and deliver first time quality to BAE program customers. The person will also investigate, evaluate, and resolve quality problems as well as analyze defect trends, and lead continuous improvement projects. This quality engineer will engage experts across our commodity team to proactively mitigate risk and ensure effective resolution of issues as well as engage with program teams to support flow down of customer requirements, sourcing decisions, and supplier risk identification. They must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize their analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. A strong desire and mindset to drive actions and projects to closure without being prompted is a must. Strong communication skills are required to make progress reports and present findings. Ability to influence and execute across functions and organizations summarize briefing/findings at an executive leadership level will be necessary for success. Additionally you will: + Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics and analytical tools to quantify performance levels and work with those suppliers to develop improvement plans to achieve 100% quality performance + Evaluate and assess the impact of nonconforming product and corrective actions, including timely communication with the program team of both. + Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities within the assigned program(s) to eliminate recurrence of nonconformances + Flow down contractual requirements internally based on QMS / part / risk / customer requirements + Participate in PPAP review process and other aspects of APQP **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years work experience or 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree + Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements + Well-organized + Strong communicator capable of working through complex issues with peers, management and multiple functions + Proficient in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point + Experience in high regulated industry as medical, automotiver anr/or aereospace **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Ability to analyze defect/performance data and display visually + 6S Greenbelt + Experience with root cause corrective action investigations + Experience with electronics manufacturing + Proven ability to coordinate a team to drive action + Experience with metric trending + IATF16949 or automotive industry + AS9102/AS9145 experience **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
