Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking a qualified Engineer to join our Cleveland Works Quality team at the facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality steel products, including hot-rolled steel, cold-reduced galvanized, and galvannealed coated products, serving the automotive, appliance, and other industrial markets.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Input steel routings into plant manufacturing systemsLead the disposition of held materialsProvide support for Quality Management initiatives, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), corrective actions, and measurement device oversightCollaborate with cross-functional teams within the Cleveland plantServe as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to product qualityCoordinate with other quality teams across Cleveland-Cliffs facilitiesConduct data analysis to assess and improve product capabilityOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials ScienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and leadership capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteEffective typing and data entry skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science5+ years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with Quality Management SystemsExperience working in a unionized environmentApplicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
