Dedication to every employee and client’s success; Innovation that matters - for our company and for the world; Trust and personal responsibility in all relationships – **Teledyne Relays is EveryWhereYouLook!** **Position Summary and Responsibilities:** + Improve quality processes focusing on customer satisfaction and competitiveness through six sigma and lean tools. Implements and maintain monitoring processes on the production floor. + Identify and mitigate process risks. Implement process FMEAs and poka-yoke processes. + Develops and implements the supplier qualification and monitoring program including surveys, on-site assessments, supplier scorecard, and follow-up activities. Evaluates suppliers’ business practices and overall performance, providing periodic feedback and recommendations for improvement. Maintains the organization’s Approved Supplier List. + Partners with suppliers to develop and/or optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. Serves as a liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and suppliers for continual improvement efforts, supplier relationships, root cause corrective action investigations, and related audits + Investigates product- and/or process-focused quality concerns with key suppliers; Manages the Supplier Corrective Action Process ensuring on-time response and implementation + Support Internal and Supplier on-site audit efforts. + Perform contract reviews, purchase order reviews, planning reviews and supplier data reviews, to ensure that quality requirements are captured and flowed down. + Other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other related discipline + Minimum 5 years’ experience in military/aerospace/aviation Quality engineering; preferably in a manufacturing environment + Experience with electronic and electromechanical assemblies a plus. + Experience in AS9100 or similar structured QMS environment. + Must be able to lead structured problem solving and root cause corrective actions (e.g. A3, 8D) using five-why, fishbone and other standard techniques. + Must be familiar with aerospace and military specifications and standards. Ability to interpret and explain Engineering, Quality, Production and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures + Must be able to implement basic quality statistics (run charts, SPC, sampling, etc.) + Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface) + Experience in use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint + Ability to occasionally work weekends and evenings when needed. Travel up to 20% **Preferred skills and capabilities:** + ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications a plus + Use of specialized software such as Minitab, TIPQA, etc. + Experience with Value Stream Analysis, Six sigma and Lean methodology desired. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
