Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

Manage customers and suppliers through the new product launch process

Evaluate, complete, and submit required customer documentation, including control plans, FEMAs, PPAP, lab packages/submissions, AAR approvals, PSO, 8Ds, and run-at-rate

Provide guidance and direction to Quality Technicians

Coordinate the completion and evaluation of PPAP submissions

Complete 8-Ds, 5S’s, and Drill Deep and Wide processes as required

Coordinate PSO submissions and conduct/design DOE studies

Track and coordinate engineering changes and monitor color compliance

Ensure compliance with FMVSS standards on assigned product lines

Create and maintain control plans

Conduct capability and gage R&R studies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

Experience managing customers and suppliers through the new product launch process

Strong knowledge of customer-required documentation including control plans, FEMAs, PPAP, AAR approvals, PSO, 8Ds, and related processes

Preferred Skills:

Experience conducting DOE studies

Familiarity with FMVSS compliance standards

Proficiency in gage R&R and capability studies



Pay Details: $82,000.00 to $92,000.00 per year
