Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to support and enhance our quality assurance processes across manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for analyzing quality performance, implementing inspection systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards, root cause analysis, and supplier quality management, with a focus on maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
+ Analyze quality performance using statistical and analytical tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Develop and implement inspection methods to evaluate the reliability, precision, and accuracy of products, processes, and equipment.
+ Establish and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and technical documentation.
+ Ensure process control documentation complies with internal and external requirements.
+ Manage timely processing of non-conforming components and support failure analysis as a member of the Material Review Board.
+ Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address quality trends, performance issues, and corrective actions.
+ Conduct supplier audits and surveys to verify conformance and ensure quality system effectiveness.
+ Lead initiatives to reduce internal non-conformances and improve scrap performance.
+ Participate in product development reviews and engineering release inspections.
+ Support manufacturing and engineering teams in optimizing quality documentation and inspection protocols.
+ Ensure all gauges and tooling are properly certified, maintained, and calibrated.
+ Assist in conducting inspector training programs and support quality assurance efforts in Mexico.
+ Contribute to the transition of the Quality Management System (QMS) to IATF 16949 standards.
Required Skills
+ ISO 9001 compliance and quality systems
+ Manufacturing process knowledge
+ SAP or similar ERP systems
+ Quality inspection and documentation
+ Root cause analysis and corrective action
+ Supplier quality and auditing
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with IATF 16949 standards
+ Strong mathematical and analytical skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
+ High attention to detail and accuracy
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $88000.00/yr.
