Quality Engineer
Duties:
Monitor quality performance: metrics, trends, repeating issues, or causes of poor quality or reworkPrepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data Ensuring processes adhere to quality standardsDevelop or establish new standards and update existing standardsDevelop written work instructions and proceduresProvide input into work instructions, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing methods to ensure qualityCustomer complaint handlingCAPA RCA investigation to support managers for resolutions, and follow-ups to verify effectivenessReview supplier scorecards and monitor quality of workmanshipWork with Purchasing to communicate supplier issues and issue corrective actions for nonconformancesInternal and external audit supportCollaborate with Manufacturing manager to develop and implement quality controls and improvementsInvestigate and troubleshoot product or production “quality” issuesReview codes, specifications, and processesAdhere to ISO and quality proceduresWork effectively in a team environmentPerform other duties as assigned by managerServe as a backup to the Quality ManagerQualifications
Bachelors in engineering Production or engineering experience in a custom sheet metal fabrication business is desiredFamiliarity with welding, fabrication, and machining specifications preferredAccurate manufacturing blueprint reading experience requiredKnowledge of metals and raw materials along with the understanding of production processes, and costs of manufacturing is a plusPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
