GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Ensure that the elements of the quality management system defined for the different manufacturing production areas are met, ensuring that processes are carried out as designed and products are produced according to specifications.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
● Professional degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics)
● Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality (Engineer)
● Minimum 2 years of experience managing work teams and personnel
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
● Leadership: Problem-solving, Area Projects, Continuous Product and Process Improvement
● Communication: Regarding the performance of the production areas, identified risks, and ongoing actions to mitigate them. Provide status, monitoring, and progress reports on the various actions.
● Proactivity: Prevention of problems related to Health and Safety, Personnel, Product, and Process.
● Analytical Skills: Problem-solving, process evaluation, and strategies with personnel in charge to maximize efficiency.
● Teamwork and Collaboration: Active participation in different scenarios and requirements to help the organization resolve problems, achieve efficiency, and achieve continuous improvement.
● General Quality Knowledge
o Experience using Basic Quality Tools
o Experience in problem-solving methodologies
o Experience in PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA
o Experience in system, product, and process audits
o Experience in developing procedures, work instructions, visual aids, forms, and records.
o Experience with Minitab for statistical analysis. Knowledge of ISO 9000:2015
● Knowledge of drawing interpretation (GD&T)
● Written and verbal Spanish
● Written and verbal English (80%)
● Proficient computer skills in Microsoft and SAP software
● Travel availability (domestic and international)
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Administration, supervision, training, and development of staff.
● Management of Health and Safety department programs and guidelines.
● Evaluation and validation before, during, and after new product introduction events.
● Review and update PFMEAs and validate corrective actions according to RPN or AP values.
● Definition of the inspection plan according to product specifications
● Execution of process capability analyses (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
● Evaluation and analysis of the measurement system (MSA)
● Communicate daily quality metrics for the area and relevant information on quality issues.
● Evaluation of NQCs and product and/or process deviations.
● Manage and execute the nonconforming material process (define, measure, identify, segregate, and dispose of)
● Support SQE for the NCM process (Define and Measure Problems)
● Determine and execute the nonconforming material containment process (certification)
● Analyze and evaluate the results of process audits
● Generation and request of PSPs (Problem Solving Processes) to the different departments.
● Support departments in resolving internal and external (client) issues.
● Validation of implemented corrective actions (PSP).
● Continuous improvement through analysis and trends of quality issues and development of an action plan with internal teams.
● Development, review, and updating of procedures, visual aids, forms, and records.
● Oversee the production cycle and perform periodic testing to detect potential failures.
● GEMBA. Primary presence within processes for ongoing validation and evaluation of the product and process.
● Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
● Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to ISO 9001:2015.
● Complete planned training sessions related to Quality and Training on time.
● Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
● Comply with safety rules determined by their role.
