Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Tulsa Area, OK Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their FAA MRO facility in the Tulsa Area. This pivotal role will be instrumental in managing the company's quality team and ensuring that all departments adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and have extensive knowledge of FAA regulations. Key Responsibilities: + QMS Management Assistance: + Maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of the Quality Management System to ensure that products and services consistently meet or exceed quality standards. + Control all documents and data related to the QMS, including manuals, procedures, and records. + Report on QMS performance to management, highlighting improvement opportunities. + Regulatory Compliance: + Ensure compliance with FAA regulations (specifically 14 CFR Part 145) and relevant aviation authorities. + Stay updated on changes to aviation regulations, advisory circulars, and manufacturer documentation. + Auditing and Inspections: + Conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with QMS procedures. + Facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies and perform various inspections of aircraft components. + Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): + Lead root cause analysis for non-conformities and customer complaints, developing effective corrective actions. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data analysis. + Training and Development: + Support the development and delivery of quality-related training for MRO personnel, ensuring adherence to quality procedures. + Supplier Quality: + Analyze supplier performance metrics and assist in approving selected suppliers, ensuring the airworthiness of maintenance services. + Communication and Collaboration: + Collaborate with various departments to promote a cohesive quality approach and maintain effective communication with stakeholders. Qualifications: + Education: + Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education. + Experience: + Minimum of 5-7 years in quality assurance/control within an FAA Part 145 MRO facility or similar environment. + Experience with FAA regulations and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120) is required. + Licenses/Certifications: + Quality Auditor certifications (e.g., AS9100 Lead Auditor) preferred. + Skills and Abilities: + Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance practices. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. + Proficient in interpreting technical data and regulatory documents. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
