As a Quality Engineer, Product QA (Suppliers Rotation), you will ensure technical requirements are implemented and verified across fabrication, assembly and validation processes. You will support audits, risk assessments, first article inspections, non-conformance management and continuous improvement.
As the Quality Engineer, Product QA (Suppliers Rotation) you will be responsible for:
Reviewing and improving product quality performance at execution sites.Collaborating with Lean initiatives to enable process improvements and flawless execution.Leading first article inspection (FAI) processes at suppliers and in‑house while using FMEA and other risk assessment tools.Conducting product quality audits and performing regular Gemba walks.Acting as a manufacturing risk assessor and mitigating identified execution risks.Supporting and/or leading Go/No-Go reviews and facilitating pre‑production meetings.Capturing, resolving and communicating operational Lessons Learned.Promoting quality culture by conducting continuous improvement workshops.Identifying, reviewing and addressing product non‑conformances with strategic corrective actions.Implementing and monitoring product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Communicating methods and approaches for solving complex quality issues.Ensuring adherence to Product Line quality directives at fabrication sites.Witnessing product inspections and qualification processes.Registering and escalating critical observations as required.Leading manufacturing review processes for new first articles with appropriate stakeholders.Acting as a key enabler for implementing Non‑Conformance Management processes at extended sites.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.Have fluent English skills.Have knowledge of Brazilian customer quality requirements for subsea equipment fabrication (XT, Manifolds, Tooling).Have previous experience in Quality Control for subsea equipment fabrication.Have experience performing quality and product requirement audits.Have knowledge of inspection processes and technical documentation analysis.Have experience using quality tools such as A3, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, 5S and Lean Six‑Sigma.Have strong leadership skills.Have negotiation and influencing abilities with internal and external stakeholders.Have the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality requirements.Have a Master’s degree in a Quality-related discipline. (Desirable)Have technical qualification or certification in Dimensional, Painting, Welding, NDT or Fabrication inspection. (Desirable)Work in a way that works for you
