Quality Control Trainee

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Learn and apply quality control procedures for construction materials in lab and field settings + Assist in sampling, testing, and analyzing materials to ensure compliance with specifications + Support continuous improvement initiatives in product quality and operational efficiency + Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve quality-related issues + Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of test results and quality metrics **What Are We Looking For** + Pursuing a degree in civil engineering, materials science, construction management & engineering, mechanical engineering, geology / geotechnical engineering, or a related field + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment + Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences + Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes + Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement **Work Environment** This role involves both indoor lab work and outdoor fieldwork, including active construction and production sites. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
