**Job Title: Quality Control Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for completing quality control documentation and monitoring product flow across all production stages—from storage to final shipment. You will ensure accurate date coding, shelf life, and compliance with critical control point protocols, working closely with production, sanitation, and maintenance teams to uphold food safety, equipment standards, and sanitation procedures. Your role is crucial in maintaining product quality, monitoring temperature controls, and supporting strategic quality goals aligned with business objectives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Monitor and verify HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and Preventive Controls.
+ Ensure products remain within safe temperature ranges.
+ Calibrate scales daily and inspect equipment, glass, and brittle plastics.
+ Maintain accurate records for production, packaging, and shipping.
+ Place products on hold/release and manage non-compliance issues.
+ Submit daily/weekly QC reports.
+ Support pest control and sanitation programs.
+ Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental practices.
+ Collaborate with production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations.
+ Provide technical guidance during production and sanitation.
+ Review data for accuracy and compliance.
+ Support food safety program implementation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in quality control, particularly within food production.
+ Strong understanding of food safety and food manufacturing processes.
+ Ability to lift 40lbs+ and perform general labor tasks.
+ Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and Preventive Controls.
+ Experience working closely with food.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
+ Ability to adapt to shift changes.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to read and interpret safety and procedure documents.
+ Capability to make sound decisions, manage time effectively, and use equipment efficiently.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is within a food manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to GMP guidelines, including wearing PPE such as smocks and hair nets. You will work in conditions with exposure to extreme temperatures ranging from 35°F to 85°F, water, chemicals, high-pressure hoses, frequent vibration, and moderate noise levels. The role involves continuous contact with sanitation water (up to 150°F) and working near moving mechanical parts.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
