Quality Control Technician
**Job Title: Quality Control Technician** **Job Description** As a Quality Control Technician, you will work with the newest technology in the market, often getting a first look before it becomes widely available. The role involves systematic monitoring and evaluation of various products to ensure they meet and exceed set standards through inspections and testing. You will communicate effectively with stakeholders to publish results aimed at enhancing quality continually. This position demands autonomy, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to learning and growth. **Responsibilities** + Verify product compliance with documentation, internal methods, defaults, and customer requirements. + Perform routine inspections of electronic sub-assemblies, cables, and hardware assemblies. + Document and communicate deviations in process, product, form, fit, or function. + Resolve minor deviations before advancing the product to the next stage. + Collaborate with departments to create product or process standards where none exist. + Capture amendments in process and product documentation. + Learn and conform to new or custom product standards. + Ensure product adherence to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance. + Perform testing of completed products using provided test equipment and software. + Operate mechanical and electrical test equipment to check apparatus for conformance. + Collect and organize data into tables and charts for metrics. + Maintain internal diagnostics programs in collaboration with respective departments. + Assist in the training of new team members. + Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed. **Essential Skills** + Two years of on-the-job experience in mechanical inspection or related field. + Two years of working knowledge of computer hardware or networking. + Ability to work in a team environment. + Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Detail and process-oriented. + Continued interest in new technologies and willingness to learn. + Strong problem-solving skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A high-school diploma or GED, or an additional three years of related on-the-job experience. + Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. **Why Work Here?** We prioritize creating a culture of belonging, where all perspectives are valued and heard. The cafeteria offers free healthy snacks and drinks, and there's a Foosball table and TV for breaks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
