Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role involves performing various types of raw material and finished goods testing, recording basic data, and conducting intermediate data analysis. The position requires the responsible release of raw materials and finished goods, applying basic wet chemistry techniques such as extractions and sample preparation. Strong pipetting skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Perform raw material and finished goods testing.Record basic data and conduct intermediate data analysis.Authorize and release raw materials and finished goods.Utilize GC and other analytical equipment for testing.Enter data daily into the ERP system and maintain lab instruments.Review batch records as necessary.Follow and help create procedures, SOPs, and forms.Maintain proper quality documentation.Generate and review Certificates of Analysis.Assist with Change Management under supervision.Participate in internal audits.Report nonconformities following SOPs.Generate nonconformity reports and communicate them to stakeholders.Perform supplier qualification tests as required.Assist with method validation and method transfers.Follow good laboratory procedures and safety protocols.Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, R&D, and other quality groups.Collect samples, prepare shipments, and inspect raw materials and finished goods.Essential Skills
Proficiency in chemistry and quality control.Experience with sample preparation and extractions.GC analysis skills.Understanding of GMP and organic chemistry.Laboratory and lab testing experience.Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry preferred.1-2 years of related lab experience.Strong attention to detail.Good time management skills.Work Environment
You will work in a state-of-the-art laboratory on our main campus, serving all global entities. The lab operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with some potential for overtime. The lab screens raw materials for hazards like dioxins, antibiotics, and pesticides, ensuring the quality of final products. This is a collaborative environment where you will work alongside 1-2 other technicians and other department members. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
