Quality Control Technician (3rd Shift)

**AS QUALITY CONTROLS TECHNICIAN YOU WILL:**
+ Responsible to the QC Manager or their designee.
+ Complies with the requirements and procedures specified in the QA manuals while supporting the goals established by operations.
+ Works with other departments to determine and resolve nonconformances in a timely fashion.
+ Interprets applicable process documentation to determine attributes of product to be examined or audited using applicable methods and/or instrumentation.
+ Operates material handling equipment.
+ Performs other job assignments and responsibilities as directed and/or when specific requirements or workload dictate.
+ The QCT shall participate in teams to accomplish specific goals of operations such as throughput, quality, cost of operations, safety, Lean manufacturing, and training.
+ The QCT shall perform inspection duties in a timely manner to prevent a lapse in product flow.
+ All members of inspection shall be proficient in the performance of auditing practices established.
+ Perform other job assignments as needed to maintain efficient operation or as supervisory personnel direct.
+ The QCT shall support the manufacturing processing by:
+ Perform inspection duties within Quality as designated.
+ Utilizing equipment and skills to troubleshoot problems in product and manufacturing processes as necessary.
+ Performing all necessary Quality driven activities as assigned.
+ The QCT must be proficient in the use of material and dimensional testing equipment.
+ The QCT shall exhibit solid multitasking abilities during daily activities.
**PURPOSE:**
Producing products in accordance with Fisher Quality Standards and to strive for continuous improvement in operating as a profitable, effective, safety-conscious business to satisfy customers.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ Must be able to read and comprehend procedures and processing documentation.
+ Capable of writing legibly when filling out required documentation
+ Perform average calculations and interpret part drawings.
+ Must display natural or corrected vision of 20/22 with both eyes and normal color perception. Must be capable of reading a minimum of Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart.
**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ Understand and relate proper measurement techniques and sequences as well as working knowledge of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T).
+ Experience performing inspection methods
+ Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.
