Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are completed to the highest quality standard. The position requires a deep understanding of construction techniques, materials, and procedures, and the ability to develop and manage quality control programs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Construction Quality Control Manager will work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to develop and implement quality control plans, perform inspections and tests, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement quality control plans that align with project requirements and industry standards.Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that all construction activities are completed to the required level of quality.Identify and document quality control issues and work with project teams to develop corrective actions and preventive measures.Review construction plans, specifications, and other documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Monitor and report on the progress of quality control programs and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.Develop and maintain quality control documentation and records, including inspection reports, test results, and other relevant data.Train and educate construction teams on quality control processes and procedures.Participate in project meetings and provide input and recommendations on quality control issues.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality control issues.Maintain daily paperwork such as reports, log updates, and email.Ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or project management is desirable.At least two years of experience as a QC Manager.Minimum of 10 years combined experience in positions such as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager.In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and procedures.Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to construction quality control.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.Proficiency in Procore.USACE EM385-1-1 certification.OSHA 30 certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts.Skills in quality control, quality assurance, and site safety.Familiarity with federal construction standards.Experience with CQM and QC processes.Work Environment
The position is onsite at NASJRB, Fort Worth. The work environment involves active collaboration with project managers, engineers, and construction teams, utilizing technologies such as Procore and Microsoft Office to maintain documentation and compliance with industry standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
