Quality Control Manager

Key Responsibilities: + Ensure daily plant operations related to Quality and Food Safety comply with company policies, procedures, customer standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. + Lead, train, and support staff in proper testing procedures, ensuring alignment with the quality management system to consistently deliver safe, high-quality food products. + Oversee all aspects of plant laboratory and sanitation operations, including staffing, training, and regulatory compliance. + Analyze monthly consumer complaint data and implement timely corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and reduce complaints. + Manage the Pathogen Environmental Monitoring Program to ensure proactive food safety controls. + Develop, maintain, and review the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) plan in alignment with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards. + Serve as the SQF Practitioner and lead efforts in achieving and maintaining SQF certification. + Create and manage quality assurance KPIs, scorecards, and performance reports. + Ensure all employees consistently follow FDA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and internal food safety policies and protocols. + Establish and maintain laboratory safety programs; review incident investigations and recommend safety enhancements. + Supervise the HOLD program, including product disposition and recordkeeping, as well as the facility’s pest control efforts. + Uphold and continuously improve company quality procedures, standards, and product specifications. + Define and implement quality control procedures in collaboration with operational teams. + Establish and maintain documentation and control systems for quality assurance. + Monitor performance by collecting data and producing statistical reports for analysis and decision-making. + Remain current on relevant regulations and certification standards from key industry and government agencies. Requirements Qualifications: + Required 3+ years of equivalent experience in a dairy manufacturing plant or food industry operations + 3+ years of managerial experience + Required HACCP and PQCI certifications, SQF Practitioner certified or obtain within first 90 days + Proven knowledge of HACCP, Sanitation, food safety, food laboratory practices.
