Quality Control Manager
**Overview** Quality Control Manager (JSC-2025-23293): Bowhead seeks to network with a Quality Control (QC) Manager for an upcoming/potential proposal effort who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Quality Control and Safety program in support of Logistics Operation services for the Johnson Space Center (JSC), Ellington Field (EF), and the Sonny Carter Training Facility (SCTF) in Houston, Texas, emphasizing efficiency, timeliness, accuracy, and safety. Logistics Operations services consist of: supply management, furniture operations, moving and hauling services, bicycle program and maintenance support, equipment management, redistribution and utilization, packing and shipping services, receiving and inspection services, vehicle fleet management, and special support services. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for ensuring all work complies with contract requirements, technical specifications, and applicable standards. + Responsible for monitoring and documenting compliance, conducting inspections, and facilitating corrective actions to maintain a high standard of performance and delivery. + Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Safety Plan in accordance with contract requirements and applicable standards. + Analyze and solve problems effectively, ensuring corrective actions are comprehensive and timely. + Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with contract specifications, technical requirements, and safety protocols. + Document inspection results, non-compliances, and corrective actions; maintain accurate and up-to-date quality and safety records. + Work closely with the Program Manager and Corporate Quality and Health, Safety, and Environmental Directors to ensure alignment between quality and safety objectives. + Ensure all personnel understand and adhere to quality/safety standards and procedures. + Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure that their work meets project quality/safety standards. + Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve understanding and implementation of quality/safety standards. + Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for identified deficiencies. + Participate in project planning meetings to integrate quality/safety considerations into all phases of the project lifecycle. + Address Government concerns related to quality/safety performance and attend on-site meetings when necessary. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in the field or in a related area. + Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Quality Control or Safety Manager role preparing and enforcing quality/safety programs or three (3) years of experience as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) overseeing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. + Experience with Federal Government projects, including compliance with specific contract and quality/safety requirements. + Demonstrated ability to implement and manage a comprehensive Quality Control and Safety Plans. + Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain meticulous records of inspections and corrective actions. + Familiarity with applicable standards, including ISO 9001, OSHA, and Federal Government quality requirements. + Strong communication skills to convey quality/safety expectations and results to diverse audiences. + Proven ability to lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment. + Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. + Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language. + Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. + Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record. + Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. + US Citizenship is required. **Supervisory Responsibilities** + Provides leadership and direction to the technical team. + Ensures flow of communication from upper management to employees and vice versa. **Physical Demands** + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. + Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time. + Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. + High noise levels are common as is the potential exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes. **Environment** + Limited physical accommodations available. + Work areas consist of office and non-office settings such and industrial locations. + Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes COVID-19 mask, safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
