Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager – Floor Care Expert to lead and oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and preservation of diverse flooring surfaces across multiple facilities. This role requires deep technical knowledge of flooring types including VCT, LVT, ACM, hardwood, terrazzo, and carpet, as well as hands-on expertise in equipment operation, staff training, van setup, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Inspection
Conduct regular audits and inspections of floor care operations across all assigned regions.Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.Technical Expertise
Serve as the subject matter expert on all flooring types: VCT, LVT, ACM, hardwood, terrazzo, carpet, and more.Develop and implement specialized cleaning and maintenance protocols tailored to each surface type.Training & Development
Design and deliver hands-on training programs for floor care staff, focusing on equipment operation, chemical usage, and maintenance techniques.Mentor and coach regional teams to elevate performance and consistency.Equipment Oversight
Teach proper operation and maintenance of floor care equipment including auto scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and specialty tools.Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all floor care equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Conduct routine equipment inspections and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.Fleet & Van Setup
Standardize and oversee van setups for mobile floor care teams, ensuring all necessary equipment, chemicals, and safety gear are properly organized and stocked.Perform regular van inspections to ensure readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with operational standards.Regional Coordination
Collaborate with facility managers across three geographic regions to align floor care strategies and schedules.Travel between sites to provide on-site support, training, and quality control.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of inspections, training sessions, equipment maintenance, and corrective actions.Provide regular reports to senior leadership on performance metrics and improvement initiatives.Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience in floor care management and quality control, preferably in a multi-site or regional role.Expert-level knowledge of various flooring materials and appropriate care techniques.5+ years of demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams (English)5+ years of proficiency in using and maintaining commercial floor care equipment.5+ years of experience with fleet management and mobile team logistics.Competent use of MS Office applications including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPointValid Driver’s License requiredWillingness to travel across assigned regions.- Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Midwest minimum 50% or moreCompleted High School Degree or GED EquivalentPreferred Requirements and Certifications:

Hours per Week: 40+Work Schedule: M-F - 1 PM ET – 9:30 PM ET, with some days starting a 9 AM ET working a split shift, some weekends and/or overtime
