**Job Title: Quality Control Lead**
**Job Description**
The Quality Control Lead is responsible for both dimensional and visual inspection of products using blueprints, managing quality processes, and documenting all Non-Conforming products. The role involves inspecting every cable being sent out, maintaining an efficient Quality Control process, and reporting everything in the Quality Management System/ERP. Initially, the position involves solo inspections, but it will eventually lead a small team of 2-3 individuals.
**Responsibilities**
+ Gain an understanding of client needs and requirements and communicate them to production teams.
+ Devise ways to improve manufacturing processes to ensure higher-quality goods.
+ Assign tasks and check the work of Quality Control Technicians.
+ Devise, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and train staff to use them.
+ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Standards.
+ Report work progress and identified issues to the Quality Control Manager.
+ Ensure legal obligations are followed and compliance with regulatory bodies and health and safety guidelines.
+ Oversee product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.
+ Inspect the final output, compare it to the requirements, and approve or reject the final products.
+ Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
+ Gain feedback from clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist external auditors and inspectors.
+ Inspect materials across all stages of production and remove defective items.
+ Designate the reason for removal and report defects to the manager.
+ Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
+ Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
+ Support new product development and continuous improvement.
+ Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
+ Ensure ongoing compliance with local, provincial, national, and international standards and legislation.
+ Create and maintain QA control documentation.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control Lead/Supervision in electronics or electrical.
+ Understanding of blueprints and quality processes.
+ Proficiency in Quality Assurance documentation.
+ Experience in a control panel shop or electrical Oil and Gas equipment is beneficial.
+ Compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Consideration given to candidates with 6+ years of QC/QA experience in Electronics and Electrical in lieu of Lead/Supervisor Experience.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is an air-conditioned and well-maintained shop. The Quality Control Lead will be the sole person in the quality department, aside from the quality manager, responsible for all inspections. The position operates on a 1st Shift schedule from 7am to 3:30pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
