Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is looking for reliable candidates for a Quality Control Inspector position with a company in Fairview, PA. This is a 1st shift position that is a long term opportunity.
Quality Control Inspector
Shift: 1st 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $14.50/hr
Screening Process: resume submission and an in=person interview with the company
***Candidate must pass a drug screen and be open to a criminal background check***
Job Duties:
Obtain purchase order with necessary information from the Quality Manager Read purchase order for necessary requirements and create job packet Get standard box from the QC shelf or Standards Room Match the artwork in the technician’s job packet to the standard in the Standard Box Bring a retain box and the standard box to the line for the technician to use during setup Visually compare the artwork, customer standard, and the part the technician has produced for missing print, scratches, black spots, heat marks, or broken pieces by using standard comparison, color match, graphic location and barcode scanning If part is acceptable a line standard is signed, if not then the technician should be informed of the issue and adjustments should be made Describe the requirements and expectations for the job to the production workers Discuss when retains should be taken, how they should be labeled, and where they should be kept. Monitor the production progress at rotating intervals during the day to insure continuity and conformity including placement, color, adhesion and barcode scanning. Check labels for correct information Keep accurate records of all actions performed and requirements of the production run If unacceptable parts or labels are found: Notify Quality manager and technician of the nonconformance An AQL must be performed to determine the percentage of parts expected to be nonconforming Complete required paperwork (internal and external) Segregate the unacceptable product in the appropriate area until a determination has been made
Required Skills and Experience
This position requires basic math competency. Good eyesight and color perception. Must have good communication and reading skills, in order to understand work instructions and safety issues. Must have good organizational and time management skills. Record quality issues, customer requirements, and audit findings.
Physical Requirements: The position could involve sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, walking, and moderate lifting throughout the workday. This position requires long periods of sitting or standing. Occasional side-to-side motion is needed while moving boxes to their next station. No Heavy lifting is required.
Equipment and Machinery used: Plastic bags, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, box cutters, calculator, and customer standards as visual comparators

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.' Current PA driver's license Prior experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and carrying heavy objects. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. MBS2
