Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Employment Type: Temporary to Possible Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 3 PM
Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour
Quality Control Inspector Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Quality Control Inspector in Bridgewater, NJ, where your expertise will contribute to maintaining the high standards of quality we uphold within our production facility. Quality Control Inspector Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct visual and physical inspections of received and produced products to ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety regulations.
+ Perform detailed inspections of welds and other critical components using precision tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and weld inspection equipment.
+ Manage documentation related to inspections, quality control processes, and equipment calibration.
+ Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
+ Assist in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for operational processes.
+ Ensure the identification and traceability of all finished goods in the yard.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to guarantee adherence to customer quality specifications.
+ Complete special projects as directed by the Corporate Quality and Service Engineer and carry out any additional duties as assigned.
Quality Control Inspector Required Qualifications:
+ Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for building positive relationships with customers and vendors.
+ Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in using measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers.
+ Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and basic data entry tasks.
+ Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
+ Background in steel manufacturing is preferred.
+ Certification or experience in Welding/Visual Testing inspection is preferred.
+ Familiarity with AWS D1.1 / D1.4 welding codes and the ability to interpret ASTM/ASME codes as applicable.
Quality Control Inspector Education/Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate’s Degree is preferred.
+ Prior experience as a Quality Inspector is an advantage.
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodology is desirable.
