ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Completion of one Highlight project during co-op placement. This project will generally relate to continuous improvement within the department and will include a formal presentation of findings at the end of the term.Collaborate with peers to improve internal & external part handling storage, conveyance and packagingCreate 2D and 3D CAD designs for new or improved Product Conveyance Devices (PCD’s)Collect and analyze product data, including O/A dimensions, sales volume, packaging materials, and labourObtain Vendor quotations for fabrication of PCD’sCreate cost justification analysis for approval to purchase new PCD’sCreate product specific AID documents to support part handling improvement initiativeDevelop/incorporate the PCD process into the on-load processChampion departmental communications for proper part handling proceduresRaise electronic manufacturing fabrication requests for Centra fabricated PCD’sWork closely with Transformation Team members to collaborate on device fabrication ideasTrack cost savings improvement metrics for newly developed PCD’s, including materials, labour, and productivity for improvement pipelineCollaborate with Health & Safety Team for internal part handling storage, conveyance and packaging devicesReview published Customer packaging specifications for new packaging related improvementsUtilize Centra’s Dashboard and Visual software to support product data collection

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
