**Quality Assurance Specialist**
**Type:** Temp-to-Hire
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
**Pay:** $24/hour
**City:** Manassas, VA
**Overview**
We’re seeking a detail-oriented **Quality Assurance Specialist** to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for auditing products and processes during production and packaging to ensure adherence to quality standards. You will report deviations, assist with special projects, and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Conduct thorough quality audits of production lines.
+ Verify equipment such as metal detectors, x-ray machines, and scales.
+ Review operator paperwork to confirm compliance with quality standards.
+ Document non-compliance issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
+ Report housekeeping concerns.
+ Collaborate with Production and Packaging teams to address daily issues.
+ Enter and track quality results in company systems.
+ Ensure compliance with FDA and cGMP standards, SQF, HACCP, and Food Quality Plans.
+ Participate in required training sessions.
+ Provide alternate coverage for QA Specialist II.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma required; BS in Food Science or related field preferred.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
+ Ability to work independently and take initiative.
+ Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
+ Knowledge of GMP and Quality systems.
+ Ability to read and follow SOPs and Test Methods.
+ Spanish language skills are a plus.
**Physical & Other Requirements**
+ Ability to stand for long periods (>90% of work time).
+ Steel-toe shoes required.
+ Must pass background and drug screening prior to start.

**Pay Details:** $24.00 per hour
