Quality Assurance Support Engineer - EPlan
Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Support Engineer - EPlan. **What you’ll do:** **Job Summary** This position is responsible to support product EPLAN quality assurance activities of Electrical Americas business of the Electrical Sector concerning: 1. Mechanical MCAD modeling 2. Electrical enrichment of MCAD models 3. Maintenance of data in external eCLASS database and Eaton’s PDH applicable to products developed and manufactured by Electrical Americas, with an emphasis on ICD and PCD. In addition to quality assurance activities the position holder will support product teams of Electrical Americas concerning the coordination of obtaining the data across electrical sector Americas related to these products. The position holder will support the development and implementation of automation related to data generated in eplan activities. **Job Responsibilities** 1. Advocates Eaton’s commitments towards generating and maintaining eplan files. 2. Interprets existing, new, and upcoming eClass requirements. 3. Interprets mechanical MCAD drawings. 4. Translate electrical enrichment data requirements into templates for future automation and efficiency gains. 5. Ability to develop subject matter expertise in variety of products manufactured by Electrical Sector Americas, focusing on ICD and PCD. 6. Support activities related to data maintenance of eClass files. 7. Supports new product introductions – specifically related to the eClass file generation. 8. Supports activities related to automation of Eclass data activities. \#LI-AR7 **Qualifications:** Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Software) or technical field from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of experience in the following: - Experience with mechanical CAD (MCAD) platforms such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, NX, or similar. - Knowledge or previous experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and/or EPLAN Pro Panel. - Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical technical drawings. - Experience working with product data classification systems, preferably eClass. - Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM/PLM) systems such as SAP, Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalents (including PDH). - Basic or intermediate knowledge in automation or scripting (Python, VBA, EPLAN API, or similar). - Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical product design practices We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
