Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. We take great pride in doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. We currently produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. As a QA Supervisor on our Denver team, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the QA Labs and ingredient receiving labs to ensure compliance with Quality Standards and Nestlé Purina PetCare regulatory guidelines. By supervising lab associates and quality specialists, you will promote continuous improvement across all factory management for maintaining food safety and high-quality pet food production. You will be integral to upholding the standards necessary for the manufacturing process at this location. + Ensure lab safety and compliance with the chemical hygiene plan and good laboratory practices, achieving 100% participation in the Behavioral Based Safety program. + Oversee daily QA operations to meet food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements, supervising the Bacteriology Lab and managing supplies within budget. + Supervise QA technicians, including the HACCP coordinator and formulation specialists, ensuring effective communication and involvement in hiring and disciplinary actions. + Act as a trained formulist, providing backup for factory formulation implementation, reviewing formulation change logs, and ensuring compliance with. + Monitor compliance with corporate fines charts to optimize yields and manage food safety incidents and exceptional releases through daily reporting reviews. + Lead the daily sensory panel, ensuring trained personnel document findings and provide feedback during corporate product showings. **Requirements** + High School Diploma or GED equivalent + 2+ years of experience in a food environment, manufacturing, industrial facility, military, or related field + 1+ year of leadership experience The approximate pay range for this position is $77,000.00 - $111,100.00. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
