Quality Assurance Specialist
Description Implementing and auditing the manufacturing quality strategy, food safety, process and program quality and regulatory compliance to ensure the continuous supply of safe, wholesome and premium quality products to customers Must be in office on Tuesday, Thursday, the third day is flexible based on need and action items needed Team culture/work environment: • Collaboration/independent work • Team shares deliverables • Relationship with the team between the team and specialists • Team of 3 Key projects: • Picking up the extra work • Working on backlog of items that have built up • Will support one specific project but may assist with others as needed Skills Food science, Quality assurance, Biology Top Skills Details Food science,Quality assurance,Biology Additional Skills & Qualifications Daily Responsibilities: • Go into the box to look through the complaints coming in, monitor and escalate where needed • Navigating emails • Going into the workspace to see the issues submitted by the baristas on the product issues • Organizing tickets • Go into the systems to pull the list of suppliers to pinpoint who needs help • Managing suppliers’ backend and documentation • Subject matter experts’ collaboration (SME) • Follow up on task completion • Document maintenance • Customer feedback maintenance, checking for trends and patterns in the customer complaints • Store/Partner feedback on components • Ability to pivot as needed within the business Interaction level with team: • Highly collaborative with cross functional teams • Working within a highly matrixed environment Technology requirements?: • Microsoft suite • Excel proficiency or organization skills • Strong task management skills Degree or certifications required?: • bachelor’s degree in science (food science, biology) is required Years experience?: • 2+ - Bachelors • 3+ - Associates Required background ? Skills?: • Having a growth mindset • Innovative • Has passion • Food/product safety • Tech savvy • Ability to work in a diverse group • Strong communication skills Nice-to-Haves: • If they have experience addressing the food/safety • Entilex or supplier management program experience • If they came from a vitamins/ pharm area • Manufacturing background is nice to have • PCQI training from FDA is very nice to have • Food Safety training, HACCP Disqualifiers?: • If they don’t have food/product safety background experience • If they don’t reach the minimum requirements in experience/education • They need to be able to come in at least 3 times a week How will this candidate know they are succeeding in their role?: • Working directly with the HM, clear expectations on the deliverables, hand holding from the manager Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
