Daikin Applied is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance! In this critical role, you will lead the establishment of a World-Class quality culture at Daikin with the mission to turn quality into a competitive advantage, ultimately on a global enterprise basis, while reducing fielded Quality events and Company warranty costs. This is done through the implementation of a broad, systematic approach to ensure that products consistently meet quality and regulatory standards through planned and systematic activities as part of an improved Product Introduction (NPI) process, including development of quality assurance during development and control measures to be implemented in production and test. Location: In Office - Plymouth, MNWhat you will do: Establish a process for the application of Quality Assurance Engineering expertise and methodologies for the New Product Introduction (NPI) DP Process of Quality Components including:Product Readiness Reviews (details)Development of Control Plans for new productGeneration of Manufacturing Check Samples (MCS)Closure of MCS findingsProvide official hand-off to QC Team for executionResponsible for the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the processFormulates and maintains quality assurance system improvement objectives which complement corporate policies and goals and incorporates these goals and objectives into the expectations for the Quality functions at each manufacturing locationAnalyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management teamCollaborates with engineering managers to ensure new products meet quality standards in accordance with the NPI (New Product Introduction) and development process and to identify and correct design problems on existing productsOversees the quality assurance engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor and company quality recordsSupports the development and initiation of standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluationSuggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market conditionsKeeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and corrective actionsPrepares and presents technical and program information to the management teamEstablish basic quality disciplines (problem solving, data collection, prioritization and metrics). Develops initial and subsequent modifications to the quality improvement program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within programPrepares and presents technical and program information to the management teamReviews data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Reviews technical problems and procedures and recommends solutions or revisionsManages the Quality Assurance Engineers and their effectivenessConducts management meetings with Quality Assurance Managers to establish, delineate, and review program policies, coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectivesMaintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards. Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industryWhat’s in it for you:

Track record of successful project management and team leadership experienceStrong knowledge of quality and design engineering, DFMEA & PFMAE application, manufacturing, specifications, testing and inspectionsAbility to travel to Daikin’s key sites throughout the U.S & Mexico. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
