TITLE: Quality Assurance Lead

LOCATION: Bedford Park, IL (Argo Plant)

REPORTS TO:  Quality Assurance Manager

Ingredion is hiring a Quality Assurance Lead to provide leadership and pharmaceutical expertise to the Quality Assurance unit overseeing the Quality Management of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing process. The Quality Lead will manage the batch record review/product, change management, OOS/Deviation in the API, and other high-risk areas to meet the Argo Plant’s safety, quality, cost, and customer delivery goals.  The Lead will also serve on task forces, cross-functional teams, and committees as needed.

What you will do:

Maintaining current working knowledge of Quality Management practices (HACCP, FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, etc.) and champion the establishment of best practices at manufacturing facilities.

Regularly delivering Quality KPI performance (FPC, COPQ, Audit, etc.).

Utilizing knowledge of the market, environment, health, safety, and regulations to ensure that company products and processes comply.

Engaging the customer/supplier directly; fulfilling requests based on customer/supplier and Ingredion requirements.

Leading customer experience at the Argo plant - coordinating complaint investigations alongside Operations and developing written reports for customer responses.

Coordination of customer and internal audit programs to ensure the successful completion of all requirements. Utilizing communication and technical knowledge to lead customer audits on-site and draft audit responses.

Supporting hygiene and sanitation execution and compliance.

Responsible for the delivery of customer experience KPI, customer complaint analysis, implementing corrective action plans to achieve sustainable solutions, and effectively organizing and conducting customer audits at the plant site.

Identify and leverage opportunities to streamline the workforce to drive synergies, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.

Developing testing standards and processes by product/channel, including Customer quality, Supplier quality, Toller quality.

Who you are:

BS or MS Degree in a technical field.

Certificates for lead auditing and/or HACCP/HARPC training. (preferable).

Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Food Industry.

Experience with GFSI requirements, FSSC 22000 preferred.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Basic understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Sound technical ability and experience.

Leader of knowledge and experience with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene programs.

Experience with SAP (preferable).

Pay Range:

$84,400.00-$112,533.33 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
