Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will use precision tools like micrometers and calipers to measure incoming instruments, ensure products meet specifications, and uphold our quality standards. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings and instruments, reporting on parts conditions, and updating our Quality Management System as necessary.

ResponsibilitiesUse micrometer and caliper to measure incoming instruments and ensure they meet requirements.Review drawings and instruments to ensure product compliance.Report conditions of parts and non-conformances or anything out of specification.Review customer drawings for custom OEM orders to ensure product specifications are met.Update Quality Management System and paper documents for audits.Utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Receive and unpack incoming shipments; verify quantities and assess the condition of materials.Perform inspections on raw materials and finished goods using technical drawings and specifications.Record inspection outcomes in quality systems and complete necessary documentation.Apply product identification markings using laser or chemical etching methods.Handle product returns and customer complaints by evaluating quality concerns.Support regulatory compliance efforts by preparing documentation and maintaining databases.Follow all applicable quality and safety standards.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the quality control area.Monitor inventory of quality-related supplies and request replenishments as needed.Provide training on inspection procedures and assist with onboarding new team members.Uphold the organization’s quality objectives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Essential SkillsProficiency in using micrometers and calipers.Experience in quality assurance, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Work Environment

This position operates Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM, typically ending by 6:00 PM. You will collaborate closely with fellow inspectors and cross-functional team members in a shared inspection area, emphasizing strong teamwork and attention to detail. You will report to the Quality Manager and work alongside a team including quality and operations supervisors, engineers, and inspectors. The role is best suited for candidates located within a 45-minute commute of Emerson.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
