Reporting into the Project Quality Manager, you will take a proactive approach in the development and implementation of quality assurance to meet business, customer and regulatory needs. The main objective of the role is to provide quality and process assurance within design and development projects to the highest design assurance levels, with suppliers or other business partners. This includes undertaking quality activities throughout the design and development process, facilitating and driving improvement with an aim of increasing efficiency, effectiveness and reducing the cost of non-quality and where non-compliance is identified the position requires that corrective action is managed, facilitated or led. Core Responsibilities + Review and approve design and development documents to ensure conformance with quality system requirements + Audit projects lifecycles to ensure compliance with plans and consistency with BMS processes - Aerospace standards ARP4754, ED-80 and ED-12C + Ensuring customer requirements, design review criteria, and transition criteria are satisfied; systems, software, hardware, mechanical design and development activities / NPI + Ensure the design lifecycle data produced complies with the approved plans + Detect, manage, and agree deviations to the design process + Handle all QA matters throughout the development contract lifecycle + Support and facilitate continuous improvement activities, internal and external + Become recognised as a focal point for quality information and direction Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Essential: + Experience of working on certified projects + Awareness and willing to learn further about project development lifecycle including knowledge of AS9100, ARP4754A, DO178b/c, and D0254 + Awareness of aerospace regulations (Military and Civil) + Skill in supervising to include delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal skills + Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills + Ability to gather data, to compile information, prepare and orally present reports + Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships with the ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained Desirable: + Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience What We Offer Parker Meggitt is proud to offer a competitive total rewards framework designed with our colleagues' health, wealth, and well-being in mind to help our employees balance a successful career.
