Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description Join a dynamic joint venture backed by one of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world. This opportunity is in Camden, Arkansas. This customer is seeking a high performing Quality Assurance Engineer to support a mission critical defense program. This will be a hands-on role focused on manufacturing quality, compliance and continuous improvement within a fast-growing environment. In this role, you will: - Partner directly with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are met across production workflows - Provide quality documentation to the shop floor, including work instructions, visual aids, control plans, and control cards - Perform and submit First Article Inspections (FAI) and PPAP packages, ensuring customer requirements are fully met - Investigate non‑conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) - Analyze manufacturing data using Lean and Six Sigma tools to identify improvement opportunities - Establish and maintain process control plans, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and Gage R&R studies - Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including AS9100 certification efforts - Prepare and present quality metrics and reports for core business processes - Participate in internal and external audits and support third‑party audit activities - Represent Quality on cross‑functional teams, ensuring quality and contractual requirements are integrated into programs - Act as a customer advocate when quality issues are identified and support resolution through data‑driven analysis This schedule will sit on-site in Camden, AR and be in a 9/80 schedule. Compensation: $100,000-$115,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements • 7+ years of related experience, or a combination of relevant experience and STEM education • Strong experience reading and interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints and material specifications • Hands‑on experience with quality systems and non‑conforming material processes • Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.) • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) • Ability to work independently while supporting cross‑functional teams • Experience working within regulated or compliance‑driven environments • Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards • Experience using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies • Experience with FAR/DFAR compliance and export/import regulations (EXIM) • Experience in a DoD or government contracting environment • Experience working with international customers • Familiarity with IFS or similar ERP systems
