Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our electronic projects. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison with customers, ensuring that all products meet specified quality and regulatory standards. This role involves active participation in audits, inspections, and meetings to maintain the integrity of our quality management system.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary Quality liaison for customers on all project-related matters.Drive resolution of customer audit findings and ensure timely communication with customers.Participate in customer audits, meetings, and inspections, both on-site and in the field as required.Ensure that all delivered products meet customers' specifications and quality standards.Maintain and oversee compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.Report to senior management on the performance of the quality management system and areas for improvement.Ensure that quality processes are implemented, monitored, and continuously improved.Review and validate test procedures and reports to ensure proper completion and accuracy.Conduct first article inspections (FAI) for components related to electronic projects.Perform supplier audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards.Establish and enforce non-conforming material processes and corrective actions.Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with technical documentation.Maintain and update quality records within SAP.Essential SkillsProven experience in Quality Assurance within automotive, transit/rail, or aerospace and defense industries.Prior experience managing quality programs.ISO certification experience and working knowledge of compliance standards.Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and suppliers.0 to 3 years of experience with an engineering degree (Industrial, Systems, Electrical Engineering).Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in root cause analysis and quality inspection.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, and ISO 9001 standards.Experience in electronics manufacturing and quality control.Work Environment
The position is based near Ballston Spa, NY, within a manufacturing setting. The team consists of a Quality Manager, Quality Technicians, and a Lead. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts from 8am to 4:30pm or 7am to 3:30pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
