Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to support our customer and sales teams by ensuring product quality and driving continuous improvement. This role involves monitoring quality metrics, resolving customer complaints, and collaborating cross-functionally to uphold high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide support to customers and sales teams on product quality issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complaints.
+ Track and report quality metrics daily, weekly, and monthly to key stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.
+ Analyze monthly quality performance data to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
+ Document and manage records of non-conformances, including coordinating material returns when necessary.
+ Conduct root cause analysis of product defects and non-conformances; collaborate with departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
+ Address customer feedback and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
+ Serve as a quality resource for production staff, offering guidance and troubleshooting support.
+ Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to resolve recurring quality issues and drive improvements.
+ Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
+ Develop and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product consistency.
+ Train production staff on quality control standards and processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a related field. A relevant degree may substitute for experience.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel (including PivotTables and data analysis tools).
+ Experience interpreting purchase orders, government contracts, and blueprints.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
+ Willingness to grow into a supervisory or managerial role in quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certification such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Lean Six Sigma.
+ Experience with ERP systems and extracting relevant data for analysis.
+ Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
