Quality Analyst I

We are immediately hiring for an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician here in Columbus! This role will primarily be performing laboratory testing on food and sauce/dip related products. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who wants to grow in the sciences long-term!

An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in a Scientific field (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc.). Candidates can be entry-level with the degree.

Job Description:

The lab technician will be performing quality testing on food products with a focus on dips and sauces. The role will split time between laboratory testing, performing some basic quality checks on the bottles/codes/dates, and performing documentation. This is a great chance to both get laboratory experience and experience working in a heavily regulated environment!

Collect and test samples of ingredients, products, or packages.Testing will largely include pH, viscosity, titrations, product color, density, acid, and salt testing.Perform quality checks on the production floor, verifying unit and case codes, labels, and conducting metal detector checks.Document all results and information based on SOPs and necessary regulations.Label and maintain product retention samples to monitor throughout shelf life.Organize collected data for management review.Maintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Qualifications:

Must have an Associates or Bachelors Degree in a science (Bachelors preferred - may consider an Associates Degree depending on laboratory coursework).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
