Ecolab is seeking a Quality Analyst who will be responsible for analytical testing that will be used in the development of new product specifications. In this position you will perform quality testing, maintenance, and calibrations of the instruments in addition to assisting in the development of new test methods as needed.

What You will Do:
Work with production, engineering, or QA technical staff to achieve statistical process control and capabilityPromptly performs reports and records all Quality Control procedures and test results in a precise and accurate mannerApplies Good Laboratory Practices to accurately record and file all raw test data, including pertinent paperwork -e.g./ chromatograms, graphs, spectra, and test resultsCommunicates results and dispositions to Production, QA, and the Supervisor as required. Calculates and recommends batch adjustments to Production Responsible for performing routine maintenance and upkeep on assigned laboratory equipment and work areasWill be assigned responsibility for calibration and associated record keeping of analytical equipment or other special projects as determined by the QA SupervisorReport promptly all problems regarding procedures, equipment, products, raw materials, specifications, etc., to the quality Supervisor or designate, as well as other quality ChemistsMaintenance inventory status of reagents, equipment, etc., to keep the lab at full operational capacityPrepares lab standard test reagents, and performs standardization on reagents and calibration of equipment regularlyKeeps detailed records and maintains control and/or trend chartsMaintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and assures smooth operation of the QA Laboratory by communication, planning, and preparation in support of other shiftsPosition Details:
Plant location: Garyville, LA PlantWork week and shift:Dupont Shift: Candidates work 12 hours shifts alternating between 36 and 48 hour work weeks, which includes weekends. The first work week is day shift 4:45am to 5:15pm, the second work week is night shift 4:45pm to 5:15am.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology2 years of previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment2 years of working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and basic “wet lab” techniquesAbility to perform basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests) No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunityPhysical Demands:
