In this role, you’ll be working in a supportive, fast-paced environment focused on early assessment, safeguarding, and sustainable interventions. You'll split your time between home working and working from the local authority, giving you the flexibility you need to balance your caseload effectively.

You’ll be responsible for:
Conducting timely assessments to identify risks and needsIntervening early to protect children and support familiesManaging cases under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Pre-proceedings frameworksWorking collaboratively with professionals across education, health, and policingEnsuring every child’s voice is heard and at the heart of your decision-makingThis is a high-impact role where you’ll be making crucial decisions that shape outcomes and ensure child safety from day one.
 
✅ What You’ll Need
We’re looking for someone who is:
A Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work EnglandExperienced in statutory children's services, ideally in Assessment, CIN, or CP teamsConfident in applying legislation, thresholds, and safeguarding proceduresA strong communicator who thrives in a multi-agency environmentResilient, emotionally intelligent, and driven to achieve positive outcomesMinimum 4 years post-qualified experience in frontline social work 
🎯 In This Role, You Will:
Complete high-quality assessments under tight timescalesIdentify and implement the most effective safeguarding interventionsDevelop and review detailed, child-focused care plansContribute to child protection conferences, legal planning, and strategy discussionsProvide support to less experienced staff and social work studentsHelp reduce risk and promote long-term stability for children and their families
