QHSE Engineer
Description Job Title: QHSE Engineer - Senior

Department: QHSE Dredging Belux

Department Description and responsibilities?
As a QHSE Engineer you will be involved in infrastructure/civil projects that complement and reinforce Client’s activities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of all QHSE related matters.

Project description:
In joint venture with local and international partners, is executing a major port expansion project in Livorno, Italy. The scope includes:
- Dredging of 14.5 million m³ of material to deepen access channels to -17 m and basins to -16 m.
- Construction of two new breakwaters and relocation of the existing Meloria breakwater.
- Development of 3 km of new quay walls and two modern port terminals.
- Land reclamation using dredged materials, expanding the port area by 2 million m².
- Enhancement of intermodal connectivity, integrating rail and road links to central and northern Italy.
The project aims to double the port’s cargo capacity and transform Livorno into a strategic logistics hub for the Mediterranean.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities?
- Advise the workforce regarding QHSE matters and organize and give trainings, inductions and toolbox meetings
- Execute audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of QHSE programs
- Give recommendations for improvement and reassure follow-up of their implementation
- Complete internal risk assessment and help to implement the measures
- Support, maintain and improve our QHSE system
- Escalate and communicate important QHSE issues and improvement initiatives to the QHSE department
- Assist in the review and follow up on investigation of incidents by gathering relevant documentation and by following up on the implementation of corrective actions. You will also follow up on the effectiveness of solutions taken
- Provide good knowledge of country labour legislation and codes of practice whilst keeping up to date with new legislation and any developments.

Technical profile requirements??
- + 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Very Good knowledge of VCA.
- Very Good Knowledge about ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

Methodology/Certification requirements
- MSC/MSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanic Engineering, Chemical Engineering OR equivalent through experience
OR? MSc Degree Safety Engineering, prevention advisor level 1

Following certifications are required:
- RSPP section A,B,C: Responsabili del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione, Modulo A, B, B-bis, e C

Language proficiencies
- Native Italian
- Fluent in English

Location
- 100% onsite presence in Livorno
- Occasional travel to Naples can be requested (business travel, expenses reimbursed)
- local candidates (daily commute)

Working hours
- normal working hours: 8hrs/day // 5days/week // no weekend-work
