Shift Information

Monday - Friday 5:30am-2:00pm ET (overtime as needed; may need to come in early or on Saturdays for overtime requirements)

Compensation

Starting pay at $12.75/hr + annual bonus eligibility and full-time benefits

Within the Laboratory Products Division, the Carolina site is dedicated to producing top-tier pH, Ion-Selective, and Conductivity electrodes for water analysis instrumentation.

Our team is energetic and high-speed, depending on collaboration, juggling tasks, and effective communication within the team and the broader organization. We are looking for a positive individual with solid technical and operational abilities to become a part of our team. This role will entail supporting the Quality Control Department in charge of verifying the electrodes.

A Day in the Life:Visually inspect the electrodes delivered from the manufacturing area to quality control (QC) to make sure it has no physical defects.Use pH meters, multimeters, high resistance meters, rulers, calipers, thermometers, and any other measuring instrument required to inspect product quality.Inspect the physical and chemical quality of all products delivered to either subassembly or finished product according to the appropriate Work Instructions and specifications.Record inspection data in forms and electronic spreadsheets.Keep the inspection equipment and your work area clean and organized.Perform your work efficiently and safely.Install the pre-packing parts to the electrodes with chemical test prior to shipment.Identify and communicate any quality issues that impact the functionality and specifications of the electrodes.

Education:

High School Degree or equivalent experience with direct exposure to courses in science laboratory.

Experience:Not Required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)Proven documentation/communication/digital literacyHigh ethical standards – will not compromise quality requirements.Computer knowledge and use of applications such as MS Excel.Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills.Basic arithmetic skills.

Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentUse Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.Must be able to work with solutions and / or chemicals.Essentials functions may require lifting objects up to 40 pounds.It is required to have visual acuity (20/20).Willing to work overtime in the short-term notice, this may include but is not limited to weekends.
