Job Description
This role entails working on the production floor, using computers to document data and non-conformances. You will be responsible for identifying products that are out of specification and escalating these issues to the QA Lead. The position involves walking the production lines, setting up quality equipment, verifying its functionality, and conducting visual inspections of products to ensure proper labeling and barcoding.
Responsibilities
Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite known as Gainseeker.Measure and document line processes to ensure conformance to Master specifications.Examine and document packaging components and finished product assemblies.Program, calibrate, and assist in setting up Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.Monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for tracking finished production.Place non-conforming products on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.Pull product retain samples.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Additional Skills & Qualifications
A high school diploma with experience or an associate degree in a lab-related discipline.Previous experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is ideal.Strong interest in the industry and eagerness to learn.Excellent attention to detail and ability to catch anything out of specification.Basic math skills for quick determinations based on line processes.A strong sense of pride in one's work and attention to small details.Work Environment
The role requires spending nearly all of your time on the production floor, occasionally in the lab, primarily standing while conducting inspections.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
