Job Description
As a QC Technician, you will spend almost all of your time on the production floor, utilizing computers stationed along the lines to document all data and non-conformances. You will be responsible for identifying any products that are out of specification or non-conforming and escalating these issues to the QA Lead. Your shift will begin with setting up quality equipment and ensuring all systems are functioning correctly. You will conduct visual inspections of products to verify clear labels and bar codes.
ResponsibilitiesAlways understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working.Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.Monitor, measure, and document given line processes to assure conformance to product Master specifications.Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.Pull product retain samples.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in a regulated environment, laboratory, or Quality Control.Understanding of SOP, assembly, batch record, GMP, quality check, quality inspection, and document control.Strong attention to detail and ability to catch anything out of specification.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, conversions) to make quick determinations based on line processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma minimum with experience or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline.Interest in the industry as a whole.Prior experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is preferred, but not required.Soft skills are crucial, including a strong interest in learning, taking on new responsibilities, and understanding the bigger picture.Candidates from various backgrounds, including restaurant workers, are encouraged to apply.Work Environment
You will spend almost 100% of your time in the plant, primarily on your feet conducting inspections. You will occasionally spend time in the lab. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
