Job Title: QC Technician
Job Description

The QC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of bread production by conducting line audits, environmental monitoring, and air sampling. This position involves participating in monthly SQF audits, calibrating and verifying scales, monitors, and basic instrumentation, and documenting practices using MS Excel, Word, and Office. The technician will monitor and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process in accordance with GMP standards and perform visual inspections, product weight checks, and other quality assessments. Addressing food safety issues and customer complaints in collaboration with QA Supervisors is also part of the role.

ResponsibilitiesConduct line audits and environmental monitoring for bread production.Participate in monthly SQF audits.Calibrate and verify scales, monitors, and basic instrumentation.Utilize MS Excel, Word, and Office for documentation.Monitor and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process.Perform visual inspections, monitor product weights, codes, and labeling.Address food safety issues and customer complaints with QA Supervisors.Handle other periodic tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsQuality control experience in the Food and Beverage industry.Strong communication skills.Adaptability to change in a Pastry Production facility.High School Diploma.Knowledge of Food Safety practices including SQF, FSMA, or HACCP.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual abilities.Experience in GMP environment.Environmental Monitoring skills.Nice to have HACCP or SQF Certification.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm during the training period. After 2-3 months, the start time shifts to 7am, working Monday to Thursday for 10-hour shifts. The facility is equipped for pastry production and offers an opportunity to work with a growing company that imports and exports with European countries.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
