QC Supervisor
QC Supervisor, 3rd Shift

Shift: Working hours are the 3rd shift, Tuesday-Friday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor for the Viral PCR Team to support the demands of our 24/7 production environment. In this role, you will manage in-process testing, ensuring alignment with operations and maintaining testing accuracy and consistency. You will also be the primary reviewer for PCR testing and associated documentation.

Responsibilities

Guide the team with daily tasks and assist with questions arising from PCR testing.Facilitate 1-on-1 meetings with third shift team members to provide performance feedback, reviews, and career growth opportunities.Support deviations and collaborate within the Quality Management System.Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and other laboratory documentation.Manage technical projects within Quality Control and collaborate with other departments as needed.Provide guidance to analysts conducting testing and support PCR labs with new methodologies.Troubleshoot existing instrumentation-based and chemical analyses in the PCR labs.Act as a liaison between Quality Control and other departments.Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in PCR, FDA regulations, GMP, QC, microbiology, and environmental monitoring.Experience in quality control and document control within the pharmaceutical laboratory setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biological Sciences or a related field.5+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry (GMP).Experience in reading SOPs and managing people, ideally as a lab supervisor.Open to candidates with a molecular experience or experience in food/beverage industries, especially if GMP-compliant.Familiarity with Quality Management Systems is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand new lab that opened in March 2025, reporting to the Manager. The team consists of six members on the third shift, including three Associates and three Analysts. Working hours are the third shift, Tuesday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM. Training will occur on the first shift, with a flexible schedule to ensure maximum overlap with the training supervisor. The training period may last from two weeks to one month.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
