Join us now!_ **Summary:** This is a hands-on laboratory role that supports manufacturing by conducting routine QC tests on materials and products. The primary goal is to ensure production outputs meet predefined quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QC, lab tech, or chemical tech career to gain experience with a renowned global provider of mission-critical products and services in the life science industry! **Contract Type:** 6-Month Contract to Hire (with possible extensions) **Pay Rate:** $20–$25/hr. **Location:** Santa Barbara County, CA **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (30-minute lunch) **Responsibilities:** + Perform routine physical and chemical tests (e.g., viscosity, pH, drying loss, acid/base titrations). + Conduct mechanical tests like tensile strength and shelf-life reinspection. + Document results per regulatory and internal SOPs. + Prepare and label samples for internal/external testing. + Maintain lab inventory, instruments, and cleanliness. + Support proper hazardous waste handling. + Communicate during shift handovers. + Participate in non-routine testing and quality investigations. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 1+ year lab experience (manufacturing setting preferred). + Experience with heat press equipment. + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. + Knowledge of lab safety protocols. + Detail-oriented and comfortable with standardized procedures. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
