Pharmaceutical products come in many different dose forms including inhalations, oral dose, cream/ointments and injectables. **How will you make an impact?** Provides moderately complex analyses in a microbiology lab environment within defined procedures and practices. Performs analytical methods for moderately complex testing on raw materials, samples, stability, and production intermediates. Supports internal development and/or manufacturing operations. Makes detailed observations and reviews, documents, and communicates test results; recommends solution. **What will you do?** + Performs Microbiological testing according to USP general chapters: <61>, and <62>, and following internal procedures and aseptic techniques. + Generates valid data, document testing procedures and results in appropriate notebooks and database according to cGMP + Compares laboratory results with specifications for acceptability + Maintains equipment and laboratory cleanliness and report any issues to supervisor. + Perform Microbiological identifications + Reviews notebooks to ensure compliance with cGMP and internal SOPs + Schedules assigned activities to meet target dates for customer needs. **How will you get here?** **Education** + BS - preferably in Biology-Bachelor’s degree **Experience** + 0-2 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities** + Highly organized, meticulous and self-motivated + Adaptable and Capable of working within a team as well as independently + Knowledge and understanding of the scientific approach to microbiological methods development and validation. + Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative microbiological Tests. + Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry. + Ability to write standard operating procedures + Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. + Ability to apply mathematical operations to different testing designs Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
